Customer Insights Dashboard, HEARD

 

HEARD uses AI to moderate short interviews with your customers and discover what they need, fast. After launching this customer research tool, teams were able to interview hundreds of customers in a few short hours instead of spending weeks scheduling and moderating a handful of in-person customer interviews.



The Challenge
We heard from our customers that manual analysis after conducting studies takes days of manual labor. How can we cut down insights analysis without compromising quality? 
Work
Led development of the insights dashboard so companies can view an analysis of their customers’ interviews as soon as they’re delivered. 


Process
I designed a tool to represent our vector space (based on a dynamic dendrogram). I used this tool to re-compute vector distances in order to visualize training and better evaluate the model.  





After training our model, I supported the design of our insights dashboard, which groups high-level themes from customers as they come in.

HEARD’s insights dashboard features a high-level summary of the customers’ learning goals, connects larger themes to specific participant quotes, and allows customers to search the data. 



HEARD’s insights dashboard saves 20+ hours of manual analysis per study by automatically surfacing the top insights and themes. 



Ritual used HEARD to complete 150 customer interviews and deliver a detailed report in two days compared to four weeks. HEARD also enabled Character.AI to conduct 1,200 user interviews in just three days to build a Use Case Taxonomy for internal team alignment.
